The Most Inspirational Super Bowl Commercials
After an unprecedented year, Superbowl commercial ads lead with a theme of inspiration. Themes ranging from Ford’s, “Finish Strong”, Anheuser-Busch’s, “We Need Each Other”, Michelob Ultra, “Happy”, and the list goes on. Like most businesses and brands around the world, the pandemic had an impact on Super Bowl LV ad styles, themes, and tone. It was noticeably missing many of the usual advertisers. The cool $5.5 million for a 30-second ad spot on CBS didn’t make the marketing budget cut for Turkish Air, Coke, Budweiser, and other usuals.
Michelob ULTRA “Happy”
Poet Laureate, Amanda Gorman, “Chorus of the Captains”
Rockstar Energy Drink “Follow your Dreams” with Lil Baby

Oatly “Wow No Cow!” with Toni Petersson
Message from the Oatly Team: “Music and lyrics written by Toni Petersson. Please feel free to use this song however you wish or make your own version and post it on youtube. Toni won’t care (as long as it is not better than the original).
Producer’s note: Toni TV was recorded in and around the organic oat fields of southern Sweden where Oatly has its offices. …to ensure that viewers get to meet the real Toni Petersson, much of the footage was filmed without Toni’s knowledge that we were actually filming. …we didn’t let Toni view any of the material until just before it was released. Did we do this to trick Toni? Not entirely. We just felt that it was important for the viewer to get an honest idea of who the real Toni is and how Oatly — behind his new, offbeat, dynamic and visionary leadership — is becoming a lifestyle brand that makes nutritional products to help people find ways to upgrade their lives and the health of the planet too.“
Super Bowl ads have long been a source of laughter, inspiration, and hope in the creative space. We hope you enjoy these as much as we did. Let us know your thoughts.
