How to Add a User on Google Analytics Account?

If you run a website for your business, your prime concern is to track the website activity, including bounce rate, traffic, and the source of traffic.

Giving access to a user permits them to manage users and edit settings. 

Also, the Google team may require access to troubleshoot account-related issues. So, giving access is better and safer than sharing the login details of your Google Analytics id.

How to Add a User on Google Analytics Account?

It is as easy as pie. Just follow the steps given below to add a user on Google Analytics:

Step 1:

Open the Google Analytics settings and click on “Admin” from the screen’s bottom-left corner.

Step 2: 

Here you will see three options: Account, Property, and View. All three have different levels of access.

Account: 

This permits users to add other users, websites and link AdSense data.

Property: 

This gives users the permission to adjust settings on a particular website, change retargeting codes and access the Google Analytics tracking code.

View: 

This gives users access to view reports, add goals and content groupings.

Click on User Management under the required option (Account/property/view).

Step 3:

Next click on “ + > Add Users”.

Step 4:

Now enter their Google email addresses, and tick on “Notify new users by email” and on the permissions, you want to give them.

That’s it! You have now successfully added a user to your Google Analytics account.
