Boost Your Immune System and Prevent the Spread of COVID

Brand Manifest’s in-house health and nutrition advisor, Clarissa Wright, weighs in on ways to prevent the spread of COVID in your community and provides some tips on how to boost your immune system to better protect yourself.

The first priority in reducing the spread of COVID is contact prevention. It’s imperative to minimize contact and only interact in essential situations. While visiting grocery stores, gas stations, doctor offices, and other locations it is mandatory to wear a mask and crucial to wash your hands as soon as you get home, even if you’ve been wearing gloves. When you don’t have immediate access to soap and water, you can use hand sanitizer, but you should follow up with soap and water as soon as you’re able. Wash your clothes, hair, and body often, and keep the surfaces in your house sanitized. 

You can strengthen your immune system by incorporating fresh fruits and vegetables into your daily diet. Elderberry, echinacea, oregano oil, fresh ginger, raw honey area few examples of herbs with immune-boosting benefits that you can add to your favorite dishes or drink as a tea. 

If you feel sick, STAY HOME. Practicing social distancing and staying home is the best way to prevent detectable spread to our communities. Protect yourself and those you love by staying home!
